Sundae is a contact in your phone. When something comes up, send a text, a voice note or a photo: a table for tonight when your hands are full, whether the thing on the shelf is cheaper elsewhere, a reminder before it slips your mind. It gets going on a computer of its own and texts you back, with a screenshot so you can check.

For a bigger job, such as flights or a cheaper broadband deal, put your phone down. It works in the background and texts you once, when it is done. It also remembers what you tell it and checks prices on the schedule you set.

It asks. You decide. Before it spends money, sends anything to someone else, deletes anything or opens an account, it asks first. It stops at the checkout. You type the card and press pay.

What you give it: a text, a voice note or a photo. What you need: a phone you already text from, with iMessage or RCS. No app, no account and no card to start. What it will not do: pay, send, post or delete without your yes, or type your passwords and card details for you.

Good to know. Sundae is in beta and places are limited. If you get no reply, we are full for now. It is free to start, with a daily limit that resets at midnight your time, and Sundae tells you when you are close. A paid plan called Plus raises the limit. Your messages go to the AI and messaging services Sundae runs on, and our team can see conversations to keep it running.
