A Letter from the CEO: Meet Sundae, Your Personal AI Agent

Today, I'm introducing something we've been building for months, without fully realising what it could become.
Meet Sundae.
Our new personal AI assistant, now in beta.
Your own digital worker. One you can simply message and give things to do.
Sundae has its own computer, browser and memory. It can research, create, build things, monitor information and work on tasks in the background. It remembers context between conversations and can reach out to you when something changes.
And you don't need to download another app or learn a new interface.

You can message Sundae through iMessage or RCS, just like you would anyone else.
I've been putting Sundae through its paces, and it's quickly found its way into my everyday life.
I have it track shares and tokens, follow my kids' sports schedules and alert me when practices or games change. I use it to book restaurants, create podcasts to learn about new topics, and find food when I land in a new city.
For work, I use Scout and the sundae_bar platform. For everything outside of work, I have Sundae.
We've spent the last year building around a simple belief:
AI should do the work.
We've built powerful digital workers for businesses. Now, we're bringing that same thinking to people's everyday lives.

And the technology that made Sundae possible was something we'd already been building, almost inadvertently, through SN121.
How Sundae came to life
Since launching SN121, we've completed 30 development challenges and received nearly 7,000 competing submissions from developers around the world.
Through SN121, developers compete to build AI Skills for agents that solve specific challenges. To test those Skills properly, we needed an environment where AI agents could actually do the work.
So we built a system that could give an agent its own computer, browser and tools, let it complete a task, evaluate the result and shut everything down again. All automatically.
With thousands of submissions to evaluate, we kept improving that system.
And somewhere along the way, we realised we'd built the foundation for something much bigger.
Sundae may only just be opening up for testing, but the technology behind it is the result of months of development, thousands of tests and continuous improvement.
Now we're putting it in the hands of real users.
The beta
We opened Sundae to beta testers late last week, and our first 100 places filled almost immediately.
Even better, people are putting Sundae to work, giving it real tasks and helping us understand what works and what needs improving.
We've now opened another 100 beta places. Once those fill, we'll move to a waitlist and rotate more people into the beta as we continue developing it.
To everyone who's been testing, thank you. And to everyone who tried to join but couldn't get a spot, thank you too.
We're being deliberate about this. We want to build something people genuinely find useful, and there's no better way to do that than putting it into their hands.
What this means for sundae_bar
I think this is a particularly important development.
We've spent the past year investing in the technology behind sundae_bar and SN121.
That investment has helped us launch our commercial AI platform, where businesses can subscribe to ready-made Agents or have Agents built around their requirements.
Now, infrastructure originally developed to test AI capabilities has helped us create an entirely new consumer product.
One technology foundation. Two distinct market opportunities.
Through Bittensor, we can tap into a global network of incentivised developers to build and improve AI capabilities without having to grow our internal team at the same rate.
The network is also developing decentralised computing, storage and other infrastructure that could help us scale our products at a lower cost.
Much of the excitement around AI is concentrated in privately held companies and big tech.
We're proud that sundae_bar gives access to a UK-listed company building and commercialising AI products, with ambitions to compete in one of the fastest-evolving industries in the world.
With sundae_bar, we're bringing digital workers into businesses. With Sundae, we're bringing that opportunity to individuals.
What's next
We're still at the beginning with Sundae. Our focus now is learning from real users and making it something people rely on every day.
Seeing technology developed through SN121 become a working consumer product is an important milestone for us.
And we're just getting started.
